Nana Frimpong Oduro

Nana Frimpong Oduro is a photographer and creative director based in Accra, Ghana. His practice explores the emotional architecture of the human experience, where memory, intuition, and spirituality intertwine. Guided by instinct and dreamlike states, Frimpong describes his process as becoming “a vessel for a higher power,” enabling intangible emotions to take a visual form. Working primarily with human subjects and elemental symbolism, particularly water, his images reflect on transformation, connection, and states of inner awareness.

Frimpong’s journey began in 2018 with a Tecno W3 phone, capturing self-portraits and street scenes across Accra. Over time, his vision evolved into a distinct language of surreal storytelling that resonates across mediums, inspiring poetry, painting, and sound. Beyond his practice, he is dedicated to nurturing emerging photographers and fostering creative growth within his community.
