Drawn to the fragmentary and the ambiguous, SERIFA highlights the invisible as much as—if not more than—the visible. In their project for Load, female-presenting figures appear partially seen, suspended in a state of transition, and revealing only traces of possible identities. These figures resist definition, oscillating between presence and absence, form and dissolution. The viewer is drawn not to what is shown, but to what remains just out of reach.

Water, a recurring motif in the exhibition, appears in the final piece. It serves as a boundary—both literal and symbolic—between viewer and figure. The animated body remains submerged, its contours blurred, fractured by the medium. Underwater audio recordings reinforce the sense of distance, underscoring a presence that is felt but not fully grasped.
